Loudonville-Perrysville School District

When you invest in a business or home in the Mohican Area, you will quickly discover that the Loudonville-Perrysville school district is a large part of the Mohican identity.  Serving 1,280 K-12 students, the district has become a premiere example of quality education in a rural Ohio setting.  In addition to excellent programs such as College Prep and International Baccalaureate, the local economy and students benefit from a very close connection to the local community.  Examples include the Future Farmer's of America involvement in local agriculture and the recent creation of a unique community foudation dedicated to L-P Schools.  The Foudation's work in fundraising and connecting with high school seniors on community projects are unparalleled examples of a community that has created its own destiny.

Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center:

Loudonville-Perrysville Schools is one of the Career Center's five partner schools.  The Career Center has become a leader in balancing high school career-based cirriculum with an Adult Education division that responds to the workforce and industry needs of the region.  A variety of programs for all ages, including consultative services used often by local companies, are a critical component of the Mohican Area's economy.  An example of the school's leadership in recent years is the creation of high school and adult biosciences cirriculum to support Ashland County's fastest-growing firm--WIL Research.  The Career Center also spearheaded the creation of a regional biosciences consortium--the Biosciences Consortium of Northeast Ohio and attracted federal funding in 2007 to build a state-of-the-art lab at the Ashland County campus.  Your business, child, or even your own career will find an invaluable partner in the Career Center.
