The Mohican Area's quality communities, schools and tourism assets from a strong foudation that attracts industrial and agricultural development. Agri-tourism, farmers markets and the local foods movement continue to gain momentum in the Mohican Area and throughout North Central Ohio. Local agriculture has grown through the work of a local co-op--Loudonville Farmer's Equity--that has served the area sicne 1915. Finally, the future of farming in our area is very bright under the leadership of the Loudonville-Perrysville Schools' Future Farmer's of America (FFA) program.
The area lays claim to a variety of industrial companies that range from the creative arts and graphic design to logistics and consumer product manufacturing. Even international companies such as Motor Coach Industries have invested and built upon the area's entrepreneural spirit, highlighted by the historic Flexible Bus Company, started in Loudonville in 1913. MAGF was a site development partner in the recruitment of a Step2 Manufacturing facility to Perrysville in 1996, as well as the initial developer of the Loudonville Industrial Park, home to Thompson Paper Products, PV Communications, and Mansfield Plumbing Products distribution center. We look forward to partnering with businesses in the future to develop quality sites where industrial firms can thrive and offer excellent employment opportunities.
